Dr. Martin Tarzian '23 On Psychiatry Residency in Cleveland, OH

He said he initially wanted to be a surgeon but found his passion for psychiatry during a rotation in Danbury, Connecticut. Dr. Tarzian emphasizes that psychiatry is more than just prescribing medication; it involves a holistic approach to mental health, including therapy and listening to patients. He also discusses the non-falsifiable nature of psychiatry, which requires detective work to understand and treat patients.
