Dr. Miriam Bernstein, '16 on Attending OB-GYN Position in Syracuse, New York

UMHS Class of 2016 graduate Miriam Bernstein, MPH, MD recently started working as an Attending OB-GYN hospitalist at Upstate University Hospital at Community General in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Bernstein was previously an Attending Physician at Oneida Health. Dr. Bernstein has been active in the UMHS Alumni Association since graduating and was on the panel last year’s UMHS livestream "Women’s Cancer Awareness: Doctors Discuss Ovarian, Cervical and Breast Cancer Screening.”  She was a hospitalist and resident physician at Saint Peter’s Healthcare System in New Brunswick, NJ. She completed her first residency as a resident physician at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. UMHS spoke to Dr. Bernstein on a winter afternoon right after she finished a long day’s work. Dr. Andrea Cuviello '13 on pediatric palliative oncology

UMHS Class of 2013 graduate Dr. Andrea Cuviello will speak at the White Coat Ceremony on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at UMHS in St. Kitts. Dr. Cuviello is a noted Pediatric Palliative Oncologist and assistant professor at Phoenix Children’s in Arizona. She was previously an assistant professor and instructor at the renowned St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Dr. Cuviello spoke to the UMHS Endeavour recently about her career as a Pediatric Palliative Oncologist and discussed how she helps treat children with cancer while also providing emotional support to families.
