UMHS students mastering cardiovascular life support in Maine. Taught by Tom Lafferty, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is one of the mandatory trainings for rotations. The American Heart Association ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving basic life support skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. It reflects science & education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR & Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). As part of the comprehensive curriculum, students cultivate life saving skills & critical thinking in a collaborative environment. Dr. Tendai Marume on Internal Medicine Residency in Philadelphia, PA

Dr. Tendai Marume recently matched into an internal medicine residency program at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He took a year off before applying to the Match to pursue his love for teaching and worked as a Clinical Instructor of Preclinical Sciences at UMHS in St. Kitts.
