A glimpse into the life of a UMHS med student 📚 Meet Claudette, an EBS4 medical student in St. Kitts! Claudette’s day kicks off with a refreshing morning run, where she’s greeted by the breathtaking mountains & wildlife. As an active member of our community, Claudette’s deeply involved in various clubs, local volunteer initiatives, & extracurricular activities. Here, she takes us through a detailed day in the life, from inside the classroom to life outside campus. Claudette’s schedule: 5:45 am: wake up 7:30 am: run 9:25 am: bus ride to campus 10 am: Pathology 1 pm: Clinicals lab 3 pm: Behavioral science 5:30 pm: Student Government Association meeting with President Ross 8:20 pm: Back home to finish the day with studying

Dr. Tendai Marume on Internal Medicine Residency in Philadelphia, PA

Dr. Tendai Marume recently matched into an internal medicine residency program at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He took a year off before applying to the Match to pursue his love for teaching and worked as a Clinical Instructor of Preclinical Sciences at UMHS in St. Kitts. Dr. Marume also worked with UMHS students extensively via distance learning during the dark days of the COVID-19 pandemic back in 2020.  The UMHS Endeavour spoke to Dr. Marume about his journey at UMHS, his background, why he chose UMHS over other medical schools, what interests him about internal medicine and also teaching, and more.
